3. Automated Technologies

3.1. What are Automated Technologies?

Automated Technologies are data collection technologies that collect information about users without any special effort on the part of the user, such as cookies, pixels and web beacons (collectively, “Automated Technologies”).

A. What are Cookies? Cookies are small files that are sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer, mobile phone, or other device. Cookies may store unique identifiers, preferences, and other information. Cookies can be set by a website owner or by third parties. There are different types of cookies such as:

*Browser Cookies – A browser cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain parts of the Website. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system may issue cookies when you direct your browser to the Website.

*Flash Cookies – Certain features of the Website may use locally stored objects called flash cookies to collect and store information about your preferences and navigation to, from, and on the Website. Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings as are used for browser cookies.

*Session Cookies – Session cookies are temporary cookies used for various reasons including, but not limited to, managing page views, to improve the navigation of the Website, and to help web pages load faster. Session Cookies are usually erased by your browser when you exit it.

*Persistent Cookies – Persistent cookies are also used for various reasons, including, but not limited to, storing your preferences and retrieving certain information you have previously provided. Persistent Cookies are stored on your devices after you exit your browser.

*Analytics Cookies – Analytics cookies are cookies that allow us to count visits and traffic sources, so we can measure and improve the performance of our Website. They help us know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around our Website.

*Functional Cookies – Functional cookies are cookies that enable our Website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. If you do not allow these cookies, then some or all of these services may not function properly.

*Targeting Cookies – Targeting cookies are cookies that may be set through the Website. They can be used by these third parties to build a profile of your interests based on the browsing information they collect from you, which includes uniquely identifying your browser and terminal equipment. If you do not allow these cookies, you will still see basic advertising on your browser that is generic and not based on your interests.

B. What are Web Beacons? Web beacons are small electronic files (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) on webpages that permit the use, as an example, to count users who have visited our Website or opened an e-mail and for other related Service statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain service content and verifying system and server integrity).

Information gathered from Automated Technologies is typically stored in web server logs, which are then transmitted back to our Website by your computers or mobile devices. These servers and Automated Technologies are operated and managed by us, our contractors, or business partners. As you use our Website, your browsers communicate with these servers to coordinate and record the interactivity and fill your requests for services and information.

3.2. Our Use of Automated Technologies

As you navigate through and interact with our Website, we may use the following Automated Technologies offered by our service providers and contractors to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns and activities, including:

  • Google Analytics. We may use Google Analytics (or other similar web analytics tools). Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. to collect certain information relating to your use of our Website. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze user activity. Such information collected may include details of your visits to and use of our Website, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on our Website; information about your computer and Internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type. We may also use Google Analytics Advertising Features or other advertising networks to reach out to you again about our Services after you leave our Website. Further information and Google’s privacy policy can be found here.

The information we collect through Automated Technologies may or may not contain Personal Information about you. This information helps us to improve our Website by enabling us to do things like estimate its audience size and usage patterns; store information about your preferences to customize our Website according to your individual interests; speed up your searches; recognize you when you return to our Website; and to support the other activities described in this Privacy Policy.  We may use and disclose the Personal Information and other information we collect through Automated Technologies as stated in this Privacy Policy.

Please read the section on Managing Automated Technologies for information on how you can opt out of behavioral tracking.

3.3. Managing Automated Technologies

You can manage some Automated Technologies, such as browser cookies, by adjusting the privacy settings on your web browser, computer and devices. For example:

  • You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being sent.
  • You can learn how to manage your Flash cookie settings by visiting the Flash player settings page on Adobe’s site.
  • In many cellular devices, you can turn off location settings by selecting the “Settings” feature, choosing “Privacy” and turning-off “Location.”

However, please note that some of our Website may not function properly without cookies or other Automated Technologies.

Please also keep in mind that your browser settings may not permit you to control the Automated Technologies utilized by third-party companies. There are third-party companies that are unaffiliated with us who can provide you with more information about third-party advertising and your opt-out choices, such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) WebChoices Tool and Network Advertising Initiative (NAI). Opting out from one or more companies listed on the DAA Consumer Choice Page or the NAI Consumer Opt-Out Page will opt you out from those companies’ delivery of interest-based content or ads to you, but it does not mean you will no longer receive any advertising through our Website. You may continue to receive advertisements, for example, based on the particular site that you are viewing (i.e., contextually based ads). Also, if your browsers are configured to reject cookies when you opt-out on the DAA or NAI sites, your opt-out may not be effective.

4. Do-Not-Track Settings

Some Internet browsers include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. We respond to DNT signals by not tracking browser and URL information collected through a tracking pixel. However, for security purposes, we do not respond to DNT signals for information collected via server logs, such as user IP address and firewall events.

5. Advertising and Communications About Services

We may need to contact you about our Website, your activity on our Website and our Services, including to send you information about new content and services available, special offers, surveys, and to assist you with access to our Website such as inquiries regarding your Account. For example, we may direct or recommend services. We may also use Automated Technologies to assist in these communications. We may also send you ads about our Services in response to your request for information or feedback. We do not collect your browsing information from third-party websites to display third-party ads to you.

If you do not want to receive promotional or marketing materials from us or our contractors and business partners, you can opt out by e-mailing admin@SanghaHealing.com any time to change your preferences. You can also opt out of certain e-mail communications by clicking “Opt-out” or “Unsubscribe” in response to an e-mail communication; and certain text message communications by replying “STOP” in response to a text message using the mobile device that is receiving the messages. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by Applicable Law, you agree that we and our contractors and business partners may use your Personal Information, including your e-mail address, phone number and other contact information, to engage with you about products and services. You may continue to receive non-marketing communications from us even after you opt out.
